Stetson is 1 month!

Stetson is 1 month! I am going to attempt to do something a lot of my friends do as their children get older. Each month they take pictures with the same item , seeing the child grow, ( obviously NOT the item grow!) We chose to put him on a horse ( trying to go along with his Cowboy name). Eventually he will be able to sit on the horse by himself, but for now, he needed some help! Here is his one month shot: ( well two since i didnt know which one to choose! )

Things to remember about this past month:

- Today ( well the day he turned 1 month- not exactly today ) he spent a good almost 6 hours at the Spectrum ( with the Veneracion clan) and did great! He either ate or slept and did most of his sleeping in the Moby!!! yahoo to that! I intend on wearing the Moby a lot more ( just really need to learn the proper way to use it! )

- Has had one night where he slept for 7 hours straight, every other night is 3-4 hours. The 4 hours tends to be on the weekend when Troy has Stetson duty.

- Still trying to get him to take a pacifier. He does ok, but I would love for when he is fussy, to be able to take it. He usually takes it when he IS NOT fussy!

- At 1 month he is drinking roughly 4 oz every 3 hours. He JUST stepped up to this, and sometimes chooses not to drink all 4 oz.

-Doesn't like his swing or the pack n play ( things Lucy loved ) but he does love his boppy pillow, his rainforest mat - and he sleeps and naps in his bouncer! I don't know what we are going to do when he outgrows the bouncer because that = sleepy time for him!

-Naps in the bathroom with a fan on in his bouncer

- Is a really good sleeper during the day if we are at home. He is usually up to eat, then plays for an hour, then sleeps for two to three hours---a great pattern at this time, but when we are out he isn't too much of a fan at this point.

- LOVES story time with Lucy in her room on her bed! Everyday around 430pm Lucy asks to read to him, he adores this time from what I can tell!

-Has reflux and colic- ( I dont really think he has colic but a dr told us he did) Reflux is really sad
because he chokes all the time, gets hiccups almost every feeding, has trouble catching his breath! Ugh! at least he isnt throwing up every feeding though. Colic- well I dont think it is colic, as soon as the dr. said that he had us switch to Nutramigen formula and it has worked wonders, so I think that solved the problem. That is not to say he doesnt cry, but he, to me, doesnt show signs of the screaming like he did before the formula change. By the way we have changed formulas 4 times now! Hope this is it!

- Has melted our hearts! We love him and are happy to keep him!

Stetson at 4 weeks/ Father's Day

I am combining some pictures of Stetson at 4 weeks and also Father's Day, so some of the pictures aren't exactly Stetson at 4 weeks but it is close enough. For Father's Day we first walked the Mission Viejo Lake together, then went to Ted's in Aliso Viejo for breakfast burritos! ( that place is AMAZING ), then took Lucy and Stetson to the park, napped, and went to Troy's parents house for dinner. It was a full day, and we had a blast!

Here is a picture of 4 generations of Sherman men!

If only we got a better shot of Stetson's onesie. It says "daddys future caddy!"
Lucy loves her Great Grandpa Sherman! And he lets her get away with murder! Here she was drinking water and spitting it everywhere! yuck!
I love this picture even IF it is upside down and I don't know how to turn it around!
Troy's request for Fathers Day was I make a SKOR bar cake. We made it with Heath bars instead and boy was it great! It consisted of ice cream sandwhiches, hersheys syrup, cool whip and crushed heath bars all layered together!

Aunt Bev with Stetson
Lucy giving her daddy a piece of cake. She delivered everyone their dessert and as she did she said " Happy Father's Day!" It was adorable!
What the cake looked like inside!
Right before we left, Steve ( Grandpa ) and Lucy took one last swing!

I just love pictures of sleeping babies...especially my own!
Here are some pictures of Lucy getting her Big Sister time!

Daddy/daughter date

The first week I had Stetson, Troy took off of work to help out ( THANK GOODNESS!). One of the things he did was take Lucy to Disneyland. Our passes expired the first week of June, so it was important to go one last time! They had SO much fun together! We are hoping to renew our passes, but not get the top of the line ones....we just don't use them on the days they are good to use so it isn't worth putting out ALL that money. And now that Troy is going to stay home while I am working, we will be able to meet somedays after I get off work and still be home at a decent time. Fun stuff! I am excited! ( that is IF we renew! )
Here is a glimpse into their day! ( I am so happy he took a few pictures! )
On their way!
One of Lucy's favorite rides! ( Dumbo )
BY FAR, Lucy's favorite ride, the carousel! Even when we go to Irvine Spectrum she has to ride on it!
With her new hat that daddy bought her. I LOVE it! On the back it says "Princess Lucy" and it has the cutest ears with jewels. You can even change out the ears!
Lucy's first trip on the teacups and she loved it! ( Her mother will NEVER be seen on that ride, so its all about daddy taking her! )

Stetson at 3 weeks

He never likes his swing but I got him asleep first and put him in...and he stayed for a little bit! I thought this pose was cute, looks like "touchdown!!" ( i dont know why this is underlined! )

Almost every day Lucy, Stetson and I play in her/their room and listen to music and read books. This day Lucy decided to allow Stetson to wear her new hat from Disneyland, she even put it on him! And she decided she wanted to read to him today, and he was very interested!
Reading books together!

Here he is pointing to something in the book...( at least I think he is :) )

Snoooozzzzzing

So you may not be aware but Lucy has been waking up for the last few months WAY earlier than normal. She used to wake up at 7:30am-8:00am and now wakes up anywhere between 5:30-6:30am. 6:30am would be REALLY late for her nowadays. Anyways, because she is waking up so early, she tends to be super tired by the time naptime comes. AND BOY IS THIS NAP NEEDED! Last week alone I got two great random shots of her falling asleep NOT in her bed.
This one....well she fell asleep while I was making her lunch. It took forever to get her to awaken!

This one....well I was putting Stetson down to take his nap, and he takes his naps in the downstairs bathroom with the fan on ( yes I know sounds strange) I heard Lucy get out of her room. Well I was so exhausted that I put him to sleep and never went to check on her. I fell asleep on the couch. Well Lucy never made it back to her room. She fell asleep on the landing of the stairs. Poor thing! I didnt find her until I was going upstairs to go to the bathroom. I screamed! She still didnt wake up! haha!

Lazy Sundays

Almost every Sunday we hang out at the Sherman's ( Troy's parents) and eat dinner and visit. It has been very nice to not have to plan dinner on those nights in MANY MANY months. Here are a few pictures of one of the Sundays. The pictures are quite random, but still cute!
We brought our pool over to their house so Lucy could use it and have more grass to play in then our little patch in front of our house.
The wiggly thing that shoots water ...she is super scared of it but still likes to give it love!
Lucy and Grandpa hanging out on their new swing!

Mmmm dessert!!! I had to put this shot as Lucy is always around the food!
Stetter bug!
Luke and Andrea and Andrea's parents came over to eat and here are the kiddos eating their dessert.
Perfect catch for this photo! See how much fun we have every Sunday? And there is almost ALWAYS visitors to get to catch up with! Thanks Grandma Lynda for always throwing great get togethers and family time for us!
