The Bible in 90 days!!!

Can you do it? I hope I can! That is a lofty goal, especially with all of my masters homework that I have, however I really feel it is something I need to do. I haven't decided when I am going to do the reading, whether it is getting up earlier, or doing it at lunch. I feel like if I attempt to do it at night, it is not going to be a goal I will accomplish. 90 days is QUICK! There is a lot of reading each night. I have never read the Bible though cover to cover, and I feel it is time. Let me know if you want to join in on the journey! It starts today, Feb. 1st, and if you click here you can read the blog post we all are supposed to be checking in on (those of us who took the challenge). We are supposed to check in every Wed. for accountability purposes. I think that part might really help me! Wish me luck! What a great goal right?

I know you all know, but I made the big switch from 5th grade to kinder this year. Since I have been catching up on posts I haven't posted anything really about it at all, BUT I LOVE IT! Primary has been so joyful, and I feel like I am daily, even hourly, making a huge impact. It is physically demanding, and not so much mentally, but honestly it was the switch I NEEDED! When you feel stagnant, it is time for a change! Heck I like changing the furniture all the time too! :)Here is my class when Santa came by to visit before break.

Lucy's First Dance Recital!

In October we signed Lucy up for dance ( tap and ballet ) lessons. We have been SO pleased with the facility and with what she has been learning. And another perk is that she is in the same class as my best friend from elementary/middle school's daughter. What a fun thing right? Troy gets to take her each week, so I don't get to see my friend ( Lauren Fisher for those of you who have known me long enough ) but Troy gets to see her and our girls have become friends. And recently Lucy and her daughter Hayden were asked to become part of a dance crew, which is stepping it up a little, and they get to perform at different community events, which is way more than their one or two recitals a year. We were thrilled! She starts next week and even has a performance this weekend! Here are ( not so good ) pictures from her Christmas dance recital. All of our cameras were dying or dead, so we used my moms camera...and couldn't figure out the best place or setting to take pictures. We will have many more opportunities though to take pictures now that she has joined the dance crew!

Not our Ward Christmas Party...

We went to my in laws ward Christmas party and it was fantastic!!! We didnt up going to ours...but this one was simply perfect! It had a country theme...and the food was like gourmet!!!! Wish we knew it was a country theme so we could have dressed the part...but thats ok! It was hard this night to keep Stetson still!!!

Lucy was perfectly fine standing "next to" Santa! Stetson, he didn't know what to think really!

A trip to PLNU and Sea World

As soon as Christmas break started, we headed down to San Diego to take advantage of the Sea World passes we had that were about to expire. It was a great day! We stopped and got mexican food and took it to PLNU first to eat.

New bikes!

This past summer all of our bikes and bike trailer got stolen from our carport. We were really really sad...as this was a fun family activity we enjoy doing together. Well we ended up putting a claim in for them because of the total expense being something that was quite big for us ....and we got a great return!! I love Allstate! Troy and I were able to get awesome road bikes, a trailer, and a trail a bike for Lucy. When Troy totalled his car back in October, this ended up being the main source of transportation for him and the kids for a month! Here were Troy and Lucy going for their first ride using his bike and her trail a bike.

Funny story to remember: One time when they were riding, they had been riding for quite some time ( 15 miles to be exact ) and Lucy told Troy she was falling asleep! That is how much effort she puts in!!! pah ha ha!!

On Halloween itself, we went to our friend Tricia's house in Ladera Ranch and they had a little community party going on before it got dark. They had a pinata.....

We then went into Tricia's house and had pizza to start the night out right!

Trick or treating was super fun!!! Although I am sad because a lot of people put their basket of candy out...and don't open the door. Lucy and Stetson love it because they grabbed tons of candy, but it's more fun to get people to open their door. Stetson had a blast trick or treating. I was worried, but as soon as someone opened their door, he let himself in and grabbed handfuls of candy! That boy!

There he goes following his sister. We were out way past bedtime and he never tuckered out! He RAN from house to house.

ALS Walk October 2011

We have been doing this walk since my grandpa found out in 2004 that he had ALS ( Lou Gehrig's disease) This year it was Dorothy's family and my Uncle's family and us. We had a great time. We then went over to my Uncle's house for lunch and to hang out. The kids had a blast! Here we are right after the walk.

I cannot believe how different boys are!! Stetson is a crazy man!!! Into everything and running everywhere. He sure is cute though!

He likes to sift through the trash to see if we threw anything good away :)

His favorite food? Chips! He will try to open bags with his teeth, and then plop down wherever to munch!

He also thinks he is pretty good on the laptop!

And if we don't watch him close enough, he will make a break to climb onto the kitchen table, the couches, the counters, you name it!

Word for 2012

There is a lot of hoopla on the blog world about choosing a word for the year...and trying to "live it." Well this year I am going to try it out and see how it goes! I asked my husband what he thought I might choose and .....following the path I have been been going down for the past 6 years we have been married...he answered "Clean."

Ouch....so true.

So, after a lot of contemplating....I am choosing the word, "Relax." It may seem strange...as a lot of people choose much more inspiring words like faith, organize, and so on, but for me this word needs to be engrained in my head!!! I constantly clean, nag others to clean, worry about EVERYTHING and anything that could happen ( much of which doesn't). I am tired of it! I know my family is, so I am choosing to remember and ponder the word, relax this year.

So if you happen to see me smiling for no reason, sleeping, living in a not so clean house....just rest assured I am taking my quest to learn and practice this word!!! :)

Lucy's First Day of Preschool!

I couldn't be happier with our decision to put Lucy in Janet Sim's preschool....Troy went to her when he was little! I mean how perfect right? She is learning so much and is in LOVE with Mrs. Sims, Mrs. Schulze and Mrs. Glazier. She comes home with so many projects and with new songs each day! As a teacher myself I thought I was going to be very critical of any school Lucy went to, but I am so happy, it makes me feel so much better. And she has become friends with the kids in her class, and has many playdates. My little girl is blossoming and LOVING it! I am so proud of her! This was her first day !P = preschool :)

She had to decorate this bucket before going to her first day. This is what she takes home her projects in everyday. She decorated it ALL BY HERSELF.

Her homework assignment for the first day of school was to decorate this "L" for their Chicka Chicka Boom Boom wall. She decided these things to put on the L, the most meaningful one right now at this stage to me for her is the Annie picture. SHE LOVES ANNIE!

Lucy is growing up so quickly!!! She is really blossoming now that she is in preschool and dance!! She is becoming very social and also very sweet with her brother.

Here are some of our neighbors eating dinner together with Lucy.

We had a sleepover with cousins! I was so proud of Lucy for sleeping all night with them, and staying up super late having girl talk and watching movies and popcorn. I went to bed before them!

4th of July trip to Utah

For the 4th of July we drove up to St. George and had a great time! We stayed with Jen and David ( our cousin's ) and they were so hospitable. They cooked everyday for us ....and we watched movies at night together..it was seriously some adult time that Troy and I needed. And Lucy got to sleep in a sleeping bag for the first time! She slept on the floor of our room. It was such a fun thing for her to do! Here we were on the 4th....

Troy, Kyle , Crystal and Steve played racquetball for a while...and they showed Trey and Lucy how to play too!

For Stetson's birthday we just had family over to our pool area and had pizza....but it was super fun! He completelyt enjoyed it and that is what matters right? He slept through the first part, but then joined us out at the pool. I was really glad my grandparents were able to come ( this is the first bday party they have been to because they have lived in Oregon since I was little.) They enjoyed the party too!
Stetson's dairy free, nut free, wheat free, egg free "large" cupcake. It was disgusting! Poor thing!

Turning 30......errr....we won' t talk about it! I am glad it's over with. I totally wasn't having it at all....so we didn't do much. And that's ok because we never really do anything wonderful for our bdays. We spend quite a bit on each other throughout the year, so we aren't huge on giving to each other on holidays and certain celebrations. And you know....we are ok with that! This night we went with family to this restaurant that had a teppan bar.

Mother's Day 2011

We decided to try and be crafty this Mother's Day. We made these jewelry holders for my mom, mother in law, me, and Lucy. You just put s hooks on the wire to hang your jewelry. They have worked really well for all of us ( now that they are all 8 months old as I write this. )This pink one is the one Lucy has in her room. We put this special stuff on the frames to make them look antiquey.....and we spray painted all of the frames before that.
This one had such awesome little beading on it!
We went to El Ranchito in Newport for dinner that day.

That morning Lucy and I got our ears pierced!!! Now that it is 8 months later...I can say I wouldn't do it again!!! I took mine out after a week due to infection....and Lucy's were fine..but about a month ago we wanted to change the earrings....and she had a fit .....and then we changed them, but she must have been allergic to the earrings so they got infected...needless to say neither of us have them anymore. It was fun that morning though :) She was super brave!

I know I have been gone for WAY too long!!! I PROMISE to be back and be at least weekly posting. I haven't decided yet whether I am going to post all of the pics from the last 6 months or just start fresh. We shall see. Christmas break starts in 3 more wake ups....and I will officially be back!!! I hope there are still some readers out there that will come back!

Easter and my 30th birthday!

I decided to post all these pictures together because I am so far behind!! Here we are the day before Easter dying our Easter eggs. Each year we sit in the same place with the same towel and this year Lucy was able to dye all the eggs herself! I was so proud of her!

Later that day we had our third annual Easter Egg Hunt with Luke Mendenhall, Lucy's friend. This year it was at his grandparents house and they had the BEST things in the eggs. They had tons of toys ( some specifically for girls, or boys) and even ones with money!

Trying not to smile. This face happens a lot lately when we are out in public. She is showing that she found her first egg.

Reading the outside of the egg, most eggs were labeled with either "Luke" or "Lucy" on them, so if they found one for the other child, they had to go give it to them.

Dang closed eyes! Here is Luke and his mom Andrea. Troy grew up with Andrea and her sister Dayna.

Here they are finding what is inside ALL of those eggs!

I found this super cute activity called "Resurrection Eggs" and Andrea and I both made them for Luke and Lucy. Then the grandpas read the story of the Resurrection out of the Bible and the kids were able to open up 12 different eggs that each had symbolic items in them. This was SO much fun!

They even had pictures of the different parts of the Resurrection to show the kids. It was amazing!

Easter Morning!!! Poor Stetson's basket was filled with different snack items that he can have due to his allergies. I totally would have given him chocolate if he could of handled it!

Lucy got a plant to, well, plant, in her Easter basket, so that is just what we did that morning!

She also made plants for all of her grandparents and great grandparents. This was a lot of fun to do. We painted mason jars and then put the flowers inside.

I have gone so long without posting pics that I am just going to post some random cute ones from the past while that really don't have to do with anything but cuteness :)

Now that it is summer ( well has been for three weeks for me! ) We have done a few fun things! One of them was making chalk paint! Just 1/4 cup of cornstarch, 1/4 cup of water, some food coloring, and you are set to go!

Lucy's new LOVE? Dressing up, "heel shoes," hats, make up, nail polish, you name it, she will wear it and flaunt it!

She also has been LOVING her brother, and he LOVES her, so it has been a lot of fun!

Something I am LOVING lately? Well, today, we bought a dog!!! We haven't actually named her yet, we are throwing around Darla, Bella, Ruby, we will decide soon. We go to Utah in two days, so the people are going to keep her until we get back on July 7th. I CANNOT wait! She is a French Bulldog, 11 weeks old, almost all black with some cute whiteness on her belly. I will post pictures the DAY we bring her home! She is so popular she already has playdates set up!

Anyhow, back to the post.....We make breakfast almost every morning, bacon, eggs, toast, juice, hashbrowns...mmm....that is a LOVE of mine!

San Diego Vaca Part 4

The next and last day we went to Sea World for the last whoo raaah. This time we focused on the rides and everything hands on for Lucy.

We fed the Sea Otters....

Tried on sunglasses and ate LARGE shamu ice creams...
And went on the arial tubs. ( that is what I call them)

We had a wonderful time!!! I cannot wait for next year! ( when we take Stetson!) San Diego Rocks!

San Diego Vacation Part 3

Troy was feeling a tad better on day 3 ( a TAD poor thing ) so we decided to go take the trolley down from Old Town San Diego to downtown San Diego. We ended up locking our keys in the car when we got to the trolley station, so we had to call a tow truck to help us out.Here we are on the trolley....

We walked around downtown, and Lucy stopped at almost every payphone to explore.

We had a DELISH lunch !!! ( thanks to Yelp! )
We came home and went swimming! Our pool had waterslides...but too bad it was FREEEEEZING where the pools were...so Lucy and I never used them. This was Troy's only attempt.

That night we went to dinner at a Mexican food restaurant in Old Town, and we found a place that had old school candy. We got a lot of fun stuff!

San Diego Vacation Part 2

We made the famous stop at Point Loma (where I did my undergrad )and Lucy and I took pictures of ourselves. Notice the beautiful ocean in the background? Yeah that view is from the cafeteria. :)

Then we headed to Kaiser for Troy since he was feeling HORRIBLE. This is where they said he had strep throat.
She got so little sleep on this vacation, so she ended up taking cat naps when we were going places. That is what vacation is all about right?
Lucy and I dropped Troy off at the hotel to sleep all day and we went to see Hop ( the bunny movie) and then went and made a Build a Bear! It turned out that they had the bunny from Hop that you could make, so that is what Lucy chose.

Then we walked around the mall and went into the Disney store, where they were having a type of party. Lucy had a blast! Here she was making a crown for herself.

They copied the happenings of a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show, so they would watch a clip and then do what they did on the tv.
They practiced dancing....and here one of the helpers is twirling Lucy.

Then they had a parade!!!

Our Spring Break Vacation Part 1

Better late than never right? On spring break we took Lucy and headed down to San Diego. We had a GREAT time, other than the fact that Troy ended up getting BAD strep throat....but he was a trooper!!! So we started our vacation at Sea World! We got passes ( mine was for free because I am a teacher, awesome right? )

The first time we went to Sea World with Lucy we got cotton candy ...so in order to keep the tradition going on we got some more! ( we need to stop this tradition because none of us like it! )

Another tradition picture....going to see the 4-D show.

When we finally got to our room Lucy had a blast playing with the keyboard and the telephone and called it her office."

The hotel was very different, it was the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. It had just gone under a HUGE remodel, yet the room we stayed in seemed to still have the old feel....but we loved it!

This vacation I gave Lucy my ipod touch because I never ever use it...and she started to get a hang of it.....so after the pool that night she played around with it.
That is it for day one! ( something to remember? Troy getting a massive fever that night and throwing up ----poor guy! )

I cannot believe he is one. This year went WAY too quick! Some things about Stetson right at this moment....

-off bottles, onto sippy cups and he takes WAY longer to drink and he isn't as happy them so we may switch back to bottles as horrible as it sounds. Time will tell. I am ok with it all because he is my last baby...so baby him all I want.

update to last bullet- we put him back on bottles ( just really cheap bottles because we threw away our Dr. Brown's ones ) so he has a bottle at night....but sippy cups of soy milk at breakfast and before nap

-no more formula!

-doesn't like ketchup ( what kid doesn't like ketchup???)

-loves chicken!

-had his first ear infection ( with a 104 fever and throwing up - doc said he probably just throws up with high fever since this isn't the first time he has had 104 and throwing up ) and doc also deduced that he got the ear infection from being dunked in the pool---because he didn't have a cold or congestion at all before the infection )

-three weeks later---got a second ear infection...well actually double ear infections. And is teething really bad. I am hoping this all goes away quickly poor guy. Luckily...he sleeps REALLY well no matter what, he can just be fussier during the day.

- LOVES playing with Lucy and tries to do everything she does. It is SO cute. ( until he gets hurt because i know he will )

-Is a daredevil. Climbs on everything

-Has taken steps, but likes to crawl WAY more

-Likes to play peek a boo with his blanket

-This month he began saying hi, night night, baba ( bottle ) and thank you

Lucy's 1st dentist trip!

Now that Lucy is BEYOND 3, I really knew I needed to take her to the dentist. I asked for a good recommendation from my friends and we fell in love! They were sooooo all about the child. Here are a few pictures of her visit. There were numerous waiting rooms, and this one had a few different gaming systems.

Getting her teeth cleaned....they give the kids sunglasses because the light is "so bright" when they are looking in her mouth. I was shocked she wore them, what a perfect picture opportunity!

What a perfect morning! Stetson was able to go the week after, he did just as well. Now we will be going every 6 months for the both of them.

Tater tots and Jello

I have been taking a stab at making a few crafts lately that I have seen on blogs lately. This burlap wreath, seen on Tatertots and Jello....is one of them. Here is my lovely model showing you what it looks like. I added green ribbon to the top and it is now hanging on my front door. I think I will be making more according to different seasons. Lucy has been having a lot of fun with her new bike!!!

Troy has been having a lot of fun with his new bike ( well new to him from his Dad )

And the kids have been having even more fun in their new trailer!

Stet has been having fun with his new ( to him---from Lucy ) car!!!

Our little man needs to learn to walk SOON!! He doesn't want to be held but wants to get around...so he crawls EVERYWHERE! Cement and all!

I cannot believe he is SO close to turning 1!!!! AGHH!!! Where does time go?

Things to remember:

- He is VERY clingy when I come home ( i love it but Troy doesn't )

- Drinks 3 bottles still a day ( breakfast, lunch and night time---all 6 oz ) At the moment 1 of those is completely soy milk. Updated -- he is at 2 bottles a day soy....so by the time he is 12 months he will be completely soy.

- Got his first bad case of diarrhea ( not like anyone cares) I think it is due to teething....poor kiddo. Update: we now think it was due to the almond milk we were trying with him. The other day he would have slept alllllll day long if we didn't wake him up so I imagine he is having a growth spurt too!

- 102 fevers with teething....dang teeth!

-Got his 6th tooth--if you are looking at him it is the tooth on the left of his left front tooth.

-Started clapping (when we say "clap your hands!" or "yeahhhhhhh" )

-Knows where his ears are

Yes, we have gotten the cheesy smile!!! We loved it when Lucy started giving hers...and love Stetson's just as much!

Soooooo big!!!

I tried making pancakes with soy milk.....i loved it, but the family wasn't so sure. We are moving onto Coconut milk because I haven't heard the best things about soy milk. I hope Stetson outgrows his dairy allergy!!

Playing a new game from Auntie!!! She loves to work with numbers!

Things to remember:

-Says mama, dada, mo ( more ) ba ( ball ), and uh oh

-Loves doing "sooooo big!"

-goes up and down the stairs by HIMSELF! dear lord what have we gotten ourselves into?

-eats graduate meals ( the gerber brand ) like a pro! we could wean him off formula and bottles now but i dont want to! he needs the nutrition!

- went to the allergist, we now use Selsun Blue for his scalp issues ( not helping them ) and we have a scratch test scheduled for peanuts when he turns one

- LOVES throwing food and toys on the floor!!!

Back in February when it was getting warm....( then we went back to frigid and rainy ) we went down to Huntington and had breakfast and walked around. We took the opportunity to take some cute pics too!

As of March 29th I decided to give up aspartame. This mainly had to do with all the diet soda and light yogurt I eat/drink. I feel like there have been so many people who have found out they have cancer lately...and I have always felt like aspartame has something to do with it. So, I am done. It hasn't been hard at all in fact. I don't drink ANY water at all, so I have been trying to drink water...and I am better at it at home, at work is hard because of teaching. I think it is going to be a much better decision for my family too!!! :)

A little info about me

I got this from another blog and thought I would share some info about me!

- I do like to blog (despite my off-and-on-ness with it recently). I blog mainly about my kids and rarely have pictures of myself on here, however it is my goal to blog more about me, and experiences I have been having, a journaling type of blog every once in a while.

- - I like goals. I used to make a lot of goals, and now I just have small little ones mainly, such as finishing books or creating a craft I have seen online. My big goal is to get my Masters degree. Well, I am in my first Masters class!!! I am attending Concordia University ( private Christian college like Point Loma ) and I am in a cohort that meets at a high school in Placentia. There are 12 of us. The hardest part so far is juggling the work now for that class along with everything else I am doing.

- - I love reading. Love it. I have a Nook color and I have a Nook app on my phone….so I read WHENEVER I can!!! My goal is to have 12 books read this year….which doesn’t seem like a lot, I am thinking 1 per month. It has been halted since I am reading so much for my Masters class currently, so I hope I can get back on the bandwagon

- Favorite food: anything Mexican….and lately Round Table Pizza. I die for it!!!! Favorite places to eat: well Round Table, El Torito Grill, In N Out, Café Rio

- - Favorite color: no idea anymore! So sad huh? If I think of a subject I can name colors I like. For example: quilts: blues and greens. Bathroom and bedroom: blues and browns. But I don’t have an all time favorite color I anymore.

- - Favorite guilty pleasure: If I told you I would have to kill you J right? Probably reading WAY too many blogs each day. I follow SO many! They make me happy though!

- Favorite TV Shows: American Idol, Bachelor/ette, Mike and Molly, Rules of Engagement, The Office, Undercover Boss, Most shows on the Food Network that aren’t about desserts ( cupcake wars? Come on! )

- Favorite thing to do on the weekend: go for our morning walks and out to breakfast! )

- Thing I am looking forward to in the next little while: finishing my first masters class, my vacation to San Diego with Troy and Lucy, spending the summer with the fam!!!! First time Troy won’t be working!!!! J

Valentine's Day

Getting ready for Valentine's Day by filling out ALL her Valentine cards. ( well scribbling on each one and putting the lollipop in )

Troy took the kids to a Valentine party that girls in our ward threw, they had a ton of fun. I asked him to get some pictures and I think he did a good job :) I rarely take the camera with us anywhere anymore for fear we are going to lose it! ( hence the lack of pictures )

Troy even took the kids to Target that morning and got them something with red or pink to wear. ( do I have a good husband or what?)

They even had a ton of fun as brother and sister at the park :)

Not a long story at all. Lucy was fiddling around with this pen.....and stuck the back up her nose..that little black thing she is holding. Troy took her to the ER, let's just say she was FREAKING out a little. By the time she calmed down....and they were waiting for a room in the ER, he got her to blow it out! Thank goodness!!!

9 months!

-First trip to the ER on 3/9/11 ( 9 1/2 months old ) because he had a 104 temp for 2 hours straight, had thrown up, and was totally lethargic. It was the saddest thing. We are definitely used to high fevers with Lucy, but she never ever acted sick. Stetson was a different case. I am thinking it may have been a combination of things...but you never know. It was a long night. He threw up in the middle of sleeping at 9pm ( think rice and beans EVERYWHERE ) and he didn't end up getting seen by a doctor until 1am. We held him in cold wet towels for two hours and gave him motrin and tylenol and his fever didn't budge and he wasn't really responding to anything we did or said. By the time the doctor saw him he was babbling, 98.4 and happy as could be ( well for a baby up at 1am) I am wondering if the vomitting had to do with the rice we gave him ( it probably had butter in it---we were at a restaurant). He is allergic to dairy so we always ask if there is cheese or milk in something but never butter. I TOTALLY forgot! Needless to say it was scary! It was last night, and today he has been much better, very low grade temp and acting fine. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this one ( bug or whatever ) to be gone.

- Has three 6 oz bottles a day, and eats breakfast, lunch and dinner. We don't have the best variety for him since he is allergic to a lot and doesn't have many teeth to chew with.

-Got his two top teeth right when he turned 9 months. Super cute! At 9 1/2 months got the tooth next to his front tooth on his left side...so 9 months = 5 teeth!

-Does the cutest cheesy smile. We need to get it on camera!

-I am just realizing he has to have a blanket when he sleeps. He likes to wrap himself in a blanket and roll around before falling asleep.

- Is getting a bit harder when we are out in public.....like at dinner. He definitely has to be entertained or eating....

-Still able to wear 18 month clothes and 2T pajamas!!! haha!

-Now shares a room with his SISTER! AND BOY IS IT WONDERFUL! We slept on the couch from November to March so that Stetson could have his own room and Lucy could have hers....but they have done wonderful from day #1. I think Lucy enjoys it and feels better.

Guess who is 8 months????? We finally used his age stickers! I have had them since he was about 2 months and always forget to use them! I think you are supposed to put them on a white shirt, but this looked cute too! I always post at the end of the month about his previous month ....I update the post the entire month and save it, and finally post it when he turns the next month ( does that make sense?) so I will post all about 8 months later! But here are cute pics!

Things to remember:

- The day he turned 8 months he pulled himself up to his knees and then to standing....UH OH! Please don't tell me he will walk early! I am good without that thank you very much! :)

-Still trying to break those top two teeth

-LOVES to go for walks! We can go for a 2 hour walk and he will not make a peep! Soo content! I love it!

- Still sleeps at least 12 hours straight at night and takes a 3-4 hour nap during the day. We have got an amazing sleeper on our hands!

- When we walk into his room ( well our room ) when he is awake from a nap or after the night, he is standing up smiling at us!

- Favorite milk and peanut free snacks? cheerios, banana, black beans, graham crackers, ritz, avocado, soy yogurt, oatmeal

- He knows how to stand up and then bring himself back down to the ground without falling ( yahoo!)

I guess Troy and Lucy do this a lot when he takes her to get ice cream in the day time when I am at work. They let Stetson sit in his carseat but talk to him while they are eating. So sad that he is allergic to dairy and cant eat any!

New Years Eve!

We won tickets to the OC Block party off of a blog and ended up having a blast! Troy's parents watched the kiddos ( they had tons of fun- they had a little new years party with Lucy and tried to get her to stay up until midnight. She POOPED out at 9! That was two hours past bedtime for her!!!

They had over 50 food trucks. Talk about to DIE for. I had been doing Weight Watchers until Thanksgiving and was so sick of dieting, this was a good splurge for me!!! We ate A LOT! This was Troy standing in front of our favorite food truck. ( didnt realize the trash can was there...I was trying to take a picture and not embarrass him at the same time so I did it quickly )

Second stop. We got empanadas from here. They were so so.

This was from our favorite truck. It was a pulled pork sandwich with creamed corn and spices mixed in. MELT IN YOUR MOUTH GOODNESS!

I got stuffed grape leaves from a greek truck. ( Troy wasnt happy with my decision ) he hates them.

This sandwich was wonderful!!!! It was from a Korean truck. It was Korean marinated meat, and it was like a philly cheesesteak. Two GREAT combinations!

There were like 5 or 6 different stages playing music from different eras. ( inside stages)

We spent a majority of the time at the demolition derby! My first and definitely not my last! It was hilarious and crazy to watch!

We ended up leaving at 10pm because I couldnt handle the cold anymore, but truly we had a great time!

Bathroom Re Do!

Our project over Christmas break was to redo our bathroom. We were given a lot of money towards it from Troy's mom and dad for Christmas!!! Sooo exciting! So here is our nasty bathroom beforehand. We forgot to take pictures of the floral wallpaper border that was up, but I am kind of glad we did!

We actually had planned to get a nicer sink vanity but the placement of our pipes led this to be our only option. Long story. It was rather depressing ( I loved the one we had chosen) but I wasn't in the mood to try and move pipes!

Ta da! My husband is AMAZING!! Last on the list that we haven't done, is add the baseboards. They are in our kitchen waiting to be cut and painted.....it just has been a busy month!
