Care for a cup o' tea?

I took my mom to tea for her birthday last week and we had a blast. We used to go to tea quite a bit when I was little, so I knew it would be the perfect gift! I made her take this cheesy pic, and I tried my best to capture some of the details of the afternoon.....
I just LOVED their tea cups and pots!

I had to take the cheesy picture too!

I had the best tea, it was their house blend that was herbal and filled with many berries! I am glad it wasn't caffeinated because I drank the whole pot!

 Tasty salads with Raspberry Vinaigrette.
The most AMAZING scones, butter and jam, and cute little sandwiches.
 The dessert .....
It was such a great time, getting to relax, enjoy, and celebrate. Happy Birthday Mom!

Hey batter batter batter....

We became members of the YMCA in the beginning of summer and Troy and I have been having a lot of fun working out together and the kids have been having a ton of fun in their kid zone. It is such an awesome place! They do play doh, crafts, story time, coloring, they have a sand box, water table, swings, jungle gym......name it and they have it! Needless to say Lucy begs not to leave every time we go to pick them up. They also have wonderful sports programs for the kids. The YMCA gave us 50% off of one sport program, so we signed Lucy up for t ball that is every Saturday for an hour all the way to September. It was $30! What a deal right? Here was her first "practice."

Playing catch with dad.

This little one is in love when we are there! And yes, he is wearing pink blinged out sunglasses! You do with what you have when it is hot. :)
Her team listening to directions.
She does great!

Getting ready to run the bases!

Almost at home!
I love how tall she is compared to all the others. It is a 3-4 year old league and she is 4 1/2, but there are a ton of kids older than her too. Its just something she will have to get used to! I did!
Throwing a ball to try and knock a cone over.

She is having a ton of fun!

This is the first time I am joining in on WIWW....and hopefully not my last! For my readers, What I Wore Wednesday is basically a blog post to show that you are getting dressed everyday ( or at least Wed! ), it is accountability for a lot of us, and I have always looked at everyone else's posts and never done my own. I am heading back to work soon but I am going to still try it out!

STEEEEEEERIKE!

Last week we took the kiddos bowling. I was super excited! My MIL took them the previous week and had a blast so I knew it would be fun!
Yes my little 2 year old just HAD to carry that ball all by himself!
I loved the little contraption they have to help little ones like him feel successful!
I loved this pose he did each time so he could watch his ball.
We did have A LOT of sitting on the walkway ( is that what its called? )
And laying on our stomaches.....What the heck?
Had to get a picture of the fact that bowling shoes actually do look cute on a 4 year old! ( don't mind the two different color socks! trying to find any socks was hard in itself! )
BUT, don't let me fool you with it being a bowl of cherries.....we did have our moments where we thought it was our turn EVERY time!
Just keeping it real!

All boy....?....?

Lucy leaves her lipsticks EVERYWHERE! ( mind you I have never bought her one!!!!  dang grandmas! ) Stetson gets into them every once in a while and has some fun!

My baby is growing up!

We were very fortunate to get a trundle bed for Lucy with two mattresses given to us last weekend. Taking into account that we had NO IDEA we were getting a new bed for her, we had to say adios to Stetson's crib ( because they share a room ) and say hello to a big boy bed for him! We just gave Lucy's old bed to him and, well, I know it is girly, BUT it does the job. I don't think there will be much judgement placed on him at 2 years old :) He has done AMAZING in it! One week has passed and he hasn't gotten out, and just loves it. I think it is due to the fact that he LOVES sports and his bedspread fits perfectly. I took these pictures as soon as we put the new comforter on, and didn't even realize he had a baseball in his hand!

Miniature golfing anyone?

Oh my gosh we had so much fun taking the kids for their first time!!! It was awesome that the kids were free too! The kids didn't get the idea of letting each person take a turn, so for the most part it was a free for all. They were fascinated by all the fun little obstacles.
I love how Stetson has his club over his shoulder. He literally wakes up and says, "Golfing? Golfing? Daddy, golfing?" EVERY DAY!!!
He even has a professional putter that is just his size!! To die for right? Lucy got a set for her 3rd birthday that he now uses. Don't you love his Rainbows? He also wears these EVERY DAY!! They were the greatest hand me down ever! Come to think of it, this kid lives off of hand me downs!

 Where did my ball go??????

Here is a little shot of, "it's everyone's turn all at the same time!"
Now Lucy wants to know where her ball went!!! And Stetson just sat down to take a break!
"Gosh darn it!!!! Can I climb in there????"

I spy a little blonde way up where she shouldn't be!!!! Do you?
I was trying to be a photo pro.....this is all I got for ya....

Our next adventure to blog about with the family is bowling! We are going tomorrow!
