Random Pictures

We made popcorn over the stove for the first time! Lucy loved it!

We then enjoyed that popcorn with hot chocolate and watched a movie!

Nowadays it is a pretty normal thing to find Lucy with pen all over herself or the walls. Usually a 1-2 year old thing, she is almost 3 ....oh well! It always comes out!

And this little guy is so much to fun to hug and squeeze!
I will leave you with her ankles.....haha.

Making lunch!

The other day while I was at work Troy and Lucy made homemade chicken nuggets! And Troy even documented it! What a good husband! ( note to self: making the chicken nuggets was motivated by the fact that we saw Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution a few months ago and he showed what it was like to make chicken nuggets--from a fast food point of view ...SICK)These were delicious!

It's the thought that counts!

Well quite a while ago it was Troy's mom's birthday and Troy and Lucy made her a cupcake. A very LARGE cupcake. It was fine at first, just the top was frosted. It should have stayed that way. However Troy thought he would try and frost the bottom as well. I just laughed and took pictures......

I just love the fact that it started collapsing before they even brought it to her!! :)

Carne Asada!!!

Lynda makes the best carne asada, and last week we decided to try making it on our own. It was super easy and SOOO good. The kick is that you have to get this seasoning from this little market by our house. Other than that it is rubbing it in oil, and lemons and onions, and marinating it over night.
We ate burritos with it the first night, and the second night we followed my friend Alyssa's cooking blog recipe for Baked Quesadillas and substituted the carne asada in for the chicken. It has the BEST flavor! oh and we added in limes as well. Troy did it by accident ( he just basically added in whatever was in the fridge drawer), and I ended up liking it but he wasn't a fan.

Cheeeeeeeesy

I have been cooking up a storm lately and I just had to shoot a picture of Wednesday's meal before it went in the oven. HOLY MOLY that is a LOT of cheese!
It looks like less than it is. It is a pound, freshly grated by my wonderful husband. MMMM!! I love cheese!
