Dying Eggs

Sooo I had huge plans in store for us...and Lucy did SO good. I cannot believe she is only 15 months. By the way she acts you would think she is much older. We had so much fun dying eggs together. We did it on the kitchen floor and it seriously was precious. She threw ( literally )eggs in cups, tipped cups of dye over, drank the dye, and then dyed eggs eventually....just some of them turned brown because she liked to put them in multiple cups. Oh, and I forgot to change her clothes dangit, soooo her ADORABLE outfit I love ..well the shirt is toast. But I guess it is worth the memories.

If you click on the picture to make it bigger you will see all the cracks!!! This was MOST of her eggs.

YUCK! Colored vinegar!

Yeah...I forgot to mention that she dyed the eggs that I didn't cook correctly. Therefore they busted sometimes when we just HELD them!

"Look Mom, I PROMISE! I didn't eat ANYTHING!"

Easter- Part 1!!!

Just a taste of the goodies and fun things to make up Lucy's second Easter! (although it felt like her first REAL Easter.)

Our silk tie eggs are part of the centerpiece!

Little cupcakes!

My "famous" haha yeah right, deviled eggs. They may not look good but they WERE!

SURPRISE!

For our 3rd anniversary this last Tuesday I suprised Troy with a trip to San Diego. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! It was really nice to get away. It is also a really good thing that we have an anniversary during spring break because I get the time off. Thanks to Grandma Lynda for babysitting Lucy. They also had tons of fun and she was very good at sending us videos of Lucy. Here is a little of our trip! First stop, MIGUEL'S!!!! We just LOVE their white sauce! It is a dip for chips and it is SOOO wonderful! I swear its one of the reasons I gained 40 pounds in college!
We had to stop at PLNU ( where I got my undergrad) so I could relive the memories and pick up a new sweatshirt and alumni sticker :) This is a view from the dorm I stayed at my freshman year. You just walked down that little path you see straight to the ocean. AHHH so many memories!

Another shot further away from the dorm I stayed in. Dorm is on the left, ocean to the right.

My brick that is on Caf Lane. I had to take a picture of it!

We took a trip touring the U.S.S. Midway. Pretty cool! I wasn't too excited, however Troy knows a TON about the boat and how everything works and he explained everything to me, it ended up being an awesome trip. This is me pretending to be in the jail area they had for the people on the boat who committed crimes.
Sitting in an ejection seat!
Our attempt at a shot with the lifesaver. Not too bad if you ask me.
Our hotel, the Manchester Grand Hyatt in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Long view of the Lobby. It was an AWESOME hotel.

Back at the U.S.S. Midway, Troy in the drivers ( or should I say pilots ) seat
So sick! This was a replica of a bathroom in the ship, and they had a wax figure going to the bathroom!
This statue is new to me, it is right next to the U.S.S. Midway, near Seaport Village. It is ABSOLUTELY huge!!!!!
Our anniversary dinner....SOO good. Troy's first time having lobster tail!
When we came back to the room after dinner we had this little surpise waiting for us! It was from my mom for our anniversary ! So sweet!
We got our room really cheap, but still scored some pretty awesome views. Here is one view of the San Diego bay area.
Here is another view- this time the Gaslamp quarter.
Classic shot

We lined up to go to a Padres game and then decided we REALLY didn't want to watch them, we are fans of the Angels. AND they were playing the Dodgers to make it even worse. So we walked around downtown and went to the jacuzzi instead. It started raining a short time later, so it was a good thing we didn't go to the game! Petco park is really cool though, we ended up eating lunch the next day together on the grass that looks into the stadium. Totally surreal, if you go to San Diego you have to check the stadium out!
Before we left San Diego we had to sit and watch the airplanes come in. We ALWAYS do this when we go to San Diego. We have been known to drive to San Diego simply to do just this. :)

Get your game on!

In honor of opening day...my two little cuties dressed up ( I did too but we didn't get a picture of it) and we went to our friend Brett and Darci's to celebrate and watch the game. Well at least the guys watched the game! Lucy got to play with their daughter Gwen and Darci and I got to talk. It was super fun! Thanks guys! ( by the way if you click on Darci's name you can go to her blog. she taught me how to do that the night we were over so I decided to use that new knowledge!)

Bowling

Last weekend Troy called one of his friends who works at a bowling alley and hooked us up with free bowling! I was a little scared at how Lucy would do...but we played until we couldn't anymore ( 3 games!! haha ) and she was AMAZING! She sat the entire time, drank from her new princess cup, ate cookies and danced to the music. OH and I can't forget that she gave us high fives when we did a good job :)

She has these funny faces she makes and I was able to get a few on camera

That is where she sat, she was so sweet! I can say again, this IS my favorite age!!

Outside

This grassy area is right outside our backyard, we just have to open our gate. It is beautiful isn't it!?! We had a little fun sitting out in the sun with Ellie and Lucy.
Miss Ellie at 9 months!

We can't get her to gain weight! Poor thing has so much energy she burns her food all off!

An attempt at a piggy back ride

She was telling me a story at this point! :)
