Playdate for Stetson

Last week we went to my friend Natalie's house to hang out and let the boys play ( I didn't take Lucy with me ) We had a great time! The boys got to pick lemons....

He knows the golf ball isn't a lemon but he had it in one of his hands almost the whole day just because :)
Their dog Hank was one of the boys all day.

We have been using these lemons in recipes all week and they are super juicy and fresh.
The boys holding their "baby lemons" that fell off as they were picking lemons.

They did boy things like running....
mowing the lawn....
took a tv ( Mickey Mouse ) break...
 ate lunch....
played with all types of balls...
 and SWAM!

I love this picture. PURE boy 100%

Sebastian is a dare devil. He loved running and jumping into the pool. As you can see by the look on Stetson's face, he wasn't too sure and just stayed on the sideline.
I thought I would throw out a picture of when Stetson and Sebastian were 1 and 2 months old....I can't figure out how to turn the picture but both boys are on a play mat together :)

This week Sebastian came to our house and they swam together again :) It has been the start of a great friendship.:) The next blog post you will see Sebastian on will be when we visit his daddy at a Damien High School Football game!

August Currently!

Who hoo! This is my first "Currently" post! This blog is not a teaching blog but more a family blog and I am going to try and put some teaching into it. I have been so inspired by the blogging world personally, spiritually, and mostly in my profession!!!  I have been reading these "Currently" posts for a long time now and I don't know why I haven't done one! Thanks to The Teachers Cauldron for the tutorial, because now this month I can do it!

A little bit of info for the B2S must haves.....I went with what I truly need now before I go back next week....
1.) I will be getting my free planner from Lakeshore, I have used the same one every year, and never have had to pay for it. You spend $20 in their store and get one free with a coupon. Since this is my 9th year of teaching, I feel like I have been successful so far with it! I will need to get it before vacation, that would be fun to fill out when I have some spare time. ( Wait, what spare time? Spare time doesn't happen when you have a 2 and 4 year old with you! )
2.) I have gotten so many fun ideas for treats for the families this year and I have decided to do this one for B2S night! Ours is on the first day of school. so it will be a fun treat.
3.) Every year I put pictures from the previous year up of my family on my bulletin board closest to my desk. Anyone who comes in usually looks and comments. It warms my heart to see this pictures every day so it is something I do every August before heading back.

Hopefully this will not be my only currently post! It was fun!

OC Fair 2012

We made our annual trek to the OC Fair last week. I shouldn't say trek, as it is 15 minutes away! We scored coming in because we donated children's books and got in free, and found free parking at the high school close by, so we decided to spend that money we saved on FOOD! ( of course, right? fair food is AWESOME! ) Stet doesn't look too happy in this picture, I think because his sister got to go on a lot of rides and he had to sit out. He was two inches too short for most rides :( Lucy, on the other hand, LOVED the rides! I was so happy!

Lucy and I went on the ride ( forget the name ) that is up in the air and takes you to another part of the fair. It was scarier than I thought!
Here are a few pics from our ride in the air...

Stetson and Troy were watching us from below!
One of my favorite parts is getting to see/pet the animals.

Look at these dreads!

And it isn't a trip to the fair without getting my Australian battered potatoes! They had a cute little sign you could pose with, I think Lucy is a pretty cute kangaroo if you ask me!

There they are, drenched in ranch, the ONLY way to go! I ate all but one this year! They were amazing!
Lucy in line to go down a slide.
All three headed down....
LOVE this picture I caught of Stetson. He was petrified when he came off! Crying and the whole bit!
Lucy wanted to go on the bigger slide next door, she had a blast!

We had a great time! Until next year!!!
