9 months!

Just chilling on the dishwasher!!!!

25 lbs 10 oz
30 inches

-First trip to the ER on 3/9/11 ( 9 1/2 months old ) because he had a 104 temp for 2 hours straight, had thrown up, and was totally lethargic. It was the saddest thing. We are definitely used to high fevers with Lucy, but she never ever acted sick. Stetson was a different case. I am thinking it may have been a combination of things...but you never know. It was a long night. He threw up in the middle of sleeping at 9pm ( think rice and beans EVERYWHERE ) and he didn't end up getting seen by a doctor until 1am. We held him in cold wet towels for two hours and gave him motrin and tylenol and his fever didn't budge and he wasn't really responding to anything we did or said. By the time the doctor saw him he was babbling, 98.4 and happy as could be ( well for a baby up at 1am) I am wondering if the vomitting had to do with the rice we gave him ( it probably had butter in it---we were at a restaurant). He is allergic to dairy so we always ask if there is cheese or milk in something but never butter. I TOTALLY forgot! Needless to say it was scary! It was last night, and today he has been much better, very low grade temp and acting fine. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this one ( bug or whatever ) to be gone.

- Has three 6 oz bottles a day, and eats breakfast, lunch and dinner. We don't have the best variety for him since he is allergic to a lot and doesn't have many teeth to chew with.

-Got his two top teeth right when he turned 9 months. Super cute! At 9 1/2 months got the tooth next to his front tooth on his left side...so 9 months = 5 teeth!

-Does the cutest cheesy smile. We need to get it on camera!

-I am just realizing he has to have a blanket when he sleeps. He likes to wrap himself in a blanket and roll around before falling asleep.

- Is getting a bit harder when we are out in public.....like at dinner. He definitely has to be entertained or eating....

-Still able to wear 18 month clothes and 2T pajamas!!! haha!
-Now shares a room with his SISTER! AND BOY IS IT WONDERFUL! We slept on the couch from November to March so that Stetson could have his own room and Lucy could have hers....but they have done wonderful from day #1. I think Lucy enjoys it and feels better.

Stetson 6 months

Note to self : I will post 6 month pictures when the computer gets fixed, but for now I want to document things!

Went to the doc at 6 months 2 weeks and here are his stats:
22 lbs 12 oz
28 inches!

He got his vaccinations and these are the first ones that he actually ran a fever with. He was 102 after his nap the day he got them. Other than that he was fine that night and next day.

He had to get blood drawn as well for allergy tests. He has had excema BAD since about 5 months. Lucy didn't start getting it until way later ( 18 months ) and it started right after we changed formulas and started baby food so I really am interested in finding out if it does happen to be food.

Things to remember about this month:
- Started eating 4 oz of baby food at lunch time
-Started eating a 4 oz dinner baby food at dinner time ( apples and chicken, sweet potatoes and turkey and so on )
-Started eating puffs! Cannot perfect putting them in his mouth quite yet. He gets quite frustrated!
-Started drinking water from a sippy cup! So big of a boy! Tonight he actually drank about 3/4 of the sippy cup and didn't end up wanting his bottle at bedtime! uh oh! NOT what is supposed to happen
- We LOAD him up with Aquaphor morning and night and ever since we started that he sleeps through the night. SO NICE
- We are still on the couch because even though we have a box fan, he is a very light sleeper. Good thing that we just got new couches!
-Wears 12 and 18 month clothes
-Sits up unassisted!
- LOVES crawling! does the lazy crawl, wear he drags his legs, but he definitely gets all around.
-Fell asleep yesterday underneath the christmas tree hugging the tree skirt, butt up in the air. PRECIOUS moments like that !
- Loves when Lucy runs from far away and comes up close to him....makes him GIGGLE so much!
-Switched to Lucys car seat and we had to get Lucy a new car seat. Good thing she is in this next one until she is like 7 or 8.
-Loves baby dolls! In fact my friend Laurie bought him one for Christmas against Troy's wishes! haha!
-Is such a happy boy!

4 months

Things to remember:

-Still drinks 6 oz bottles with #1 nipple
-had his first trip to Disneyland on 10/16/10 and LOVED it! We went on the carousel, Pinocchio, Snow White, and It's a Small World.
- is waking up one time per night, usually in between 3am-5am, then goes back to sleep to anywhere from 730am-9am ( well today he didnt wake up until 10 am! )
-Has tried banana baby food and loves it, also tried a real banana in the mesh feeder and devoured it!
- Had his first cold :( Lucy gave it to him and he has had to be suctioned out a few times a day and he HATES it. He has been in a happy mood though and it really hasnt affected him much at all! Thank goodness!
-Is wearing 6-9 or 9 month clothes
- Is such a happy baby!
- Usually takes a quick power nap in the morning with dad and Lucy when they are out ( maybe a 15 minute nap )
- goes down around noon and when Troy is in charge he takes about a 3-4 hour nap. When I am around its more like 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. What can I say? He loves time with his momma ;)
-rolls from front to back and from back to front, and scoots already! I can't believe he is doing it so soon!!!
- We took him to Urgent Care the day he turned 4 months because we thought he had an ear infection ( he kept making his ear bleed by scratching it- turns out he was fine ) but at least we got his stats on that day! He was 18 lbs 6 oz

So....
on 9/26/10 ( the real day he was 4 months ) he was 18 lbs 6 oz
on 10/18/10 at his 4 month appt he was 19 lbs 7 oz and 27.5 inches!

We didnt get the horse picture this month but here are two cute ones!

His first time at Disneyland happened when he was 4 months!

2 month stats update

Ok so Stetson's appt. was really at 2 1/2 months..but I am listing his stats anyways!

Height = 26 inches- 98% percentile ......Lucy was almost 24 inches at this point

Weight = 15 lb. 8 oz -92% percentile...Lucy was 12 lb 9 oz. at this point

My boy is HUGE!!!! I love it! Also, by three months, he will definitely be in 9 month clothes. He has only gotten to wear his 6 month clothes each one time so far. SO SAD! They are all adorable!

Want to document...

I know this information is probably not the most fun for everyone to read, but I really wanted to remember this information so I am going to post about it. I will probably do posts like this more often now to remember when I look back. Yesterday, June 15th, when Stetson was 2 weeks and 5 days old, we took him to the dr. because he was screaming for hours upon hours. The dr. ended up saying he was a colicky baby, and said wait it out. Oh my, this will be a LONG summer! He had us switch formulas to a hypoallergenic formula ( Nutramigen )that a LOT of people had recommended, I just didn't want to switch to it until we HAD to, because it is expensive. He has been a lot better since we started the formula, but it seems that that always happens right after we change formulas, and then a few days into it he acts fussy again. We will just have to wait and see!
It is my goal to get out of the house from now on, whether or not he is screaming. I am super embarrassed at this point but I KNOW that Lucy needs it. So I am just going to have to get used to it!

Update on his growth!

June 10th- 2 weeks old- 9lb 8oz

June 15th ( FIVE days later )- 10lb 4 oz!!!!!!

The doctor was happy about that one!
