The last few weeks...

So I dont even remember the last time I posted...all i know is life has been CRAZY for the past couple of weeks. Mostly work has been crazy for me. We have been having lots of fun as a family as well..so all in all that is why I haven't posted in so long. Busy busy weekdays and then even busier weekends!!! I have tons of pics but nothing uploaded...and I promise to upload after this Wednesday which will be after my Open House at school. That is the big thing going on this week..and last week was our Exibition. Exhibition is basically a culminating project that our 5th graders started in December. This year it was based on natural disasters. They had to come up with 8 key questions to research and then research them, and work on a presentation to show adults, ( and then a lot of them made a 2nd presentation for kids) and come up with a way to change the world now that they know this research. ( what we call "action") For example, one of the groups studied about blizzards, so for their action they made flyers for the Red Cross ( East Coast Red Crosses) to distribute about how to stay safe in a blizzard, they also sold ice cream after school and donated all of the money to the Red Cross. The kids were adorable and this year we had the kids presentations at NIGHT. ( which was huge for them) and there were 17 different stations around the school, each presenting their findings.
It was SO MUCH FUN but I am glad it's over.
Now onto Open House!!!

With the fam-- last weekend we hung out a lot with Troy's cousins that were down from Utah and we celebrated Troy's bday by golfing! Yes you read that right, GOLFING! Grandma Lynda watched Lucy and Troy and I went out to Hemet and played 18 holes. Well I played less than 18, in fact I slept on the golf cart for the last 4 holes...but hey, who's counting?? hehe. He loved it and so did I. It was SO relaxing and beautiful! That night we went to El Torito Grill ( our favorite!!) for dinner with Lucy. This weekend on Friday night out with one of Troy's friends that he served with in the Philippines who lives now in Utah. He came down for the weekend and Troy spent all day Friday with him playing golf and then we all went to dinner and the spectrum after. Troy was really happy to see him, and also REALLY wants to set him up with someone because he is single and a really nice guy! So anyone out there want to go on a date? Let me know. He is willing to come back to CA for the date too!! Nice guy huh? He really was a sweet guy. Then on Saturday we went to Sea World! We got passes, and are so excited! We may not be able to get Disney passes this year if I don't keep my job, so we decided Sea World will do for now. I forgot how much I LOVE SAN DIEGO. I really would like to eventually buy our first real home there if we ever get the opportunity. And today is Sunday at 1pm and Troy just woke up. Well he was in the ER at 3 in the morning due to EXTREME leg pain. He has had it almost every night for a week and last night he couldn't take it anymore. Well he came home with the news that he has to take Motrin 800mg three times a day to see if that helps. WHATEVER! We are going to make an appt. for him with his real dr. to see if they can figure out what it is. It only hurts at night though...very strange! We will keep you informed!
ok thats it for now, like i said, pics to come!
Oh! And just to document---because I have been bad at that lately!!! Lucy has been completely off bottles now for about a month. It was the easiest thing to do and I was so scared! She was on two a day after 12 months, one at nap and one at bedtime. Then we stopped the naptime one at 13 months and stopped the bedtime at 14 months. We just did it cold turkey and she could care less! Pah! for my worries!!!!

You guys have been busy! I can't wait to see pictures!
What a cool project you had your kids do, and how neat that one of your groups went so far as to raise money... doesn't that make you feel great about your job, even when things suck so much?
Oh, and don't they say that when your leg hurts like that at night it a "growing pain"...maybe Troy is just growing hahahaha!
